His research activity aims at deepening intercultural education and democratic citizenship education within social contexts in Italy and abroad. In addition to having been on a number of occasions visiting researcher at the University of Cologne, he has been involved in numerous conferences and seminars in the fields of general education, intercultural education and active citizenship education at a theoretical and practical level as well. Over the last 10 years he has published essays in scientific journals and in several editors.
